Wizard Cats Tank Battle is an in-development cross-platform multiplayer top-down shooter that blends classic multiplayer arena gameplay with RPG mechanics. Choose from 7 wizard classes that wield unique schools of magic. Each class has a unique buff applied when projectiles hit allies and a debuff applied when projectiles hit enemies. Additionally, each class has different hitpoints, defense, raw damage, and movement speeds!
Customize your wizard cat with hats, wands, tanks, fur patterns, body shapes and meows! Collect cat coins as you defeat enemies and spend them on new items. Every time you defeat an enemy your wizard cat will meow, announcing their victory to the arena!
I built this game using the Unity Game Engine (C#) with Photon Fusion Netcode and Azure and Playfab as a backend. It has been in alpha testing since 2023 and has been shown at several conventions including MAGFest (2024), Dragonsteel (2023), and TooManyGames (2023, 2024).
The game community primarily exists in Discord, where I share development updates, run playtests, and solicit feedback from players.
This is primarily a solo project, however I've worked with several others on an asset-by-asset basis including June Westfield for sound design and music, Shane Draper for music, Riley McGowan for 3D art.
